The Wishes That Should Never Have Come True
Wish I could say it was made on a whim;
Though it didn't emerge from deep within,
With words never spoken, the thoughts streamed
From the deepest corners in which I'd dreamed
Of how, maybe, I could for once feel
That this part of my life would finally be ideal.
I implore you now, to take certain heed
That as the saying goes, indeed -
When you wish for your skin-deep desires
You better prepare for veangeful fires...
