The Tree In My Backyard
In my backyard stands a tree
That holds many a happy memory
Many a happy moment did we spend
In the ol' tree house
Sharing a scary story
Or playing cat and mouse
But now the good days have come to an end
For they are going to chop it down
Never again will a bonny bird send
A melodious message through its song.
And so today I say with a sigh,
"Goodbye, ol' tree, goodbye."
