The Storm

The storm is over
And I wished it to be longer
I look to the sky and wonder why
Life happens and why we die

I wonder why people stand still
And watch their loved ones as they're killed
I look at the sky and begin to cry
Land on my knees and scream "Why, oh why"

This life is breaking down my knees
And no one sees
And I thought I could trust you all
To break my fall
And now I'm flying towards the ground
I won't make a sound
And no one will notice when I've gone
They'll just change the song

Remember when I took your hand
And let our feet lie in the sand
I looked at you and you looked at me
And then you made me really see

See this life for what it's worth
And not to crack under its girth
And now you've gone and I can't help
This feeling inside that makes life welt

This life is breaking down my knees
And no one sees
And I thought I could trust you all
To break my fall
And now I'm flying towards the ground
I won't make a sound
And no one will notice when I've gone
They'll just change the song

I'm scared to look into the past
Because I just want it to last
The days when we would live carefree
And climb all of those mountainous trees

This life is breaking down my knees
And no one sees
And I thought I could trust you all
To break my fall
And now I'm flying towards the ground
I won't make a sound
And no one will notice when I've gone
They'll just change the song

Just allow me to pass unseen..

The End
