The World Is Not Enough

The world is not enough,

my dear, for me to give to you;

I’d wrap it up in crepe paper

tied with a ribbon or two.

A ring is not enough,

darling, for me to give to you;

yet, down upon one knee,

I hope you’ll say “I do.”

My heart is not enough,

my love, for me to give to you;

alas, it’s all I have to give –

the most precious gift, and true.

The End
