The Sinking Anchor

As the ship moves, wearily through the terrible storm,

As the anchor is set in place,

Worn down by damage and rough waters

The chain breaks, it snaps , it reaches it's tension point,

It's gone... Gone in the deep.

Deep in the sea.

Deep down under

Captive to the dark waters and thoughts that buffet it

So, as the anchor is shaken and lost,

So is a broken heart that has not a soul to protect it

The End
