The Rush of Force

A basic break-up song with loads of natural disaster metaphors

The river overflowing and the waters take their grip

The rush of force will be the eroding of me

Taking my heart and soul with it

Carrying what's left into the sea

All I know is ruin

All I know is to be swept away

All I can feel is the end

If only I knew to live in the day

Wildfires lash the fringes and I begin to choke

Locked forever in an unloving hold

The forest withers and turns to ash

Suddenly now I feel my heart implode

All I know is ruin

All I know is to be swept away

All I can feel is the end

If only I knew to live in the day

The lifeblood of my fragile heart departed

And it seems she took the moon and stars as well

Sinister whispers in the charred forest begin to stir

It seems the absence of you is the definition of hell

All I know is ruin

All I know is to be swept away

All I can feel is the end

If only I knew to live in the day

But would it make a difference anyway?

The End
