The Price I Paid
Victory comes with momentum
Propelled skywards I can see the spots on the sun
Separated and my friends are long lost
Expectation turns into another cost
When I finally crash and burn
Exile calls because there’s nowhere to turn
Disintegrated and I’m long lost
I became a God at any cost
I loved her and I soared
Wrapped her in a world I adored
But the light has faded, pictures torn from the wall
This is the price you pay for being God
The price you pay when you fall
Love presents itself as an obstacle
In vain pride you forget it’s so easy to fall
I grasped a little piece of heaven
But hell finds those engulfed in pride
Now I’ve finally crashed and burned
And the wheels have fate have finally turned
In mourning for all that I’ve lost
I became a God at any cost
I loved her and I soared
Wrapped her in a world I adored
But the light has faded, pictures torn from the wall
This is the price you pay for being God
The price you pay when you fall
