The Piper Who Traveled the World

Recommend

When once the piper boy left home to play.
Twas such an exciting bright day.

I’m off now, I’m off now
He called with a smile.
I go to see the world.
So off he went in his old black suit
To travel the seven seas.

He went to the tall tower in Paris.
He saw great China’s wall.
We climbed up Egypt’s pyramids.
And enjoyed the Incan shrines.
But never ever was he as satisfied
As when he was with his friends.

And so the lesson we have learnt.
You can travel the world.
See all there is to see.
But it will not satisfy.
The yearning that’s inside.
To be with your friends.
