The Only Exception

The day I saw my mother bleed
I locked my heart deep inside
She left me alone, in need
To flee from hone, run and hide

Daddy refused to look at me again
Of love he was no longer capable
So now I see it in disdain
As something that isn't reliable

How can I believe in something
If it's destined to never last
But my heart is always wanting
To forget memories past

You came and took the pain away
Removing all the deception
From in my world of pain I can say
You are the only exception

The End
