The Northern Star

As my soul sleeps on the black lake's shore,
Glittering reflections dances around,
Piercing lights running through and back for more,
Keeping it softly above the ground.

In the reflection I can see a star,
The one I know from times before,
Scattering her light near and far,
Guiding me through the times of sore.

There I watch the heavenly sentry,
Her light transforms my thoughts to a song,
Stamping the night from her cold beauty,
Carving it in the memory deep and strong.

When the sun comes high above,
and the darkness is viciously slain,
I crave for the night to bring my love,
My northern star yet again.

The End
