The Northern Lights

This isn't a story more of a poem i had to use certain words for this and it took me 4 days to write enjoy!! :)

It's colder than ice,

An Arctic paradise.

The lights are so colourful,

So colourful and bright.

I try so hard not to cry,

I try with all my might.

A mere smudge on Gods canvas,

That is always so busy.

The lights are dancing in the sky,

Just looking at them makes me dizzy.

It's colder than ice

An Arctic paradise.

A gate way to the Spirit World,

Images in the Sky.

So emotoinal and overwhelming,

They'll always make you cry.

It's colder than ice,

An Arctic paradise.

The colours of the rainbow,

Floating all around.

Charged with energy,

Due North is where they're found.

It's colder than ice,

An Arctic paradise.

The lights are so inspiring,

They seem to twinkle and gleam.

They are an ancient phenomenon,

Made by something supreme.

It's colder than ice

An Arctic paradise.

They are smoky,

And yet clear.

I know that when i leave,

This memory i'll hold dear.

It's cloder than ice,

An Arctic paradise.

I'm in the Arctic Circle,

I can't believe i'm here.

The snow is so crisp and fresh,

The ice is so clear.

It's colder than ice,

An Arctic paradise.

The lights are arching in the sky,

They're taking my breath away.

I look up filled with sadness,

Oh, how i wish i was here to stay.

It's colder than ice,

An Arctic paradise.

The world is moving around me,

Yet for now time has frozen still.

I'm glad i've got these layers of clothing,

To help keep of the chill.

It's colder than ice,

An Arctic paradise.

It's like a zoo up there,

With all the different coloured lights.

They collide with one another,

Oh what a beautiful sight.

It's colder than ice,

An Arctic paradise.

The golden ribbons,

Are rippling through the air.

How i wish i could stay here,

But life just isn't fair.

It's colder than ice,

An Arctic paradise.

But now the show is done,

The curtains are coming odwn.

I've got this big grin plastered over my face,

And nothing can make me frown.

It really is colder than ice,

A truly amazing Arctic paradise.

The End
