The Night Remembers

I wrote this in 7th grade... its not very good...

The night remembers what happened,

The sky heard the screams.

Stars were watching you,

The moon is disappointed,

The morning scolds you.

Dawn can never awaken them.

Their bodies form a mountain.

The sea licks at them,

Your conscience screams at you.

The trees whisper," You are alone."

We saw what you did,

We heard your cries.

We saw you fall on your knees,

Glaring up at the sky.

The night remembers what you did.

The screams of despair,

The guilt riding up on you.

The weight of the world

Resting on your shoulders.

The moon understands.

You say you had no choice,

You had to do it.

We disagree with you.

You had a choice,

You chose wrongly.

Your hatred overpowered you.

The stars look down on you,

The sea is ashamed.

Look what you did.

We all remember what you did.

The night was your curtain,

You took advantage of it.

Why did you do that?

We know why.

You will live with regret

For as long as you live.

You will cry yourself to sleep.

Thus is our curse:

You will never forget.

The night remembers what you did,

The sky heard the screams.

Stars were watching you,

The moon is disappointed,

The morning scolds you.

The End
