The Next Road

I feel like I've reached a new chapter in my life now, so I thought I'd move on from the poem set "To Understand" and start afresh. These are quick poems that are designed to be snapshots into my life. Usually written very quickly, in under 5 minutes.

A Thread of Faith

I admit, hope's string is not strong:

It is second-hand, withered and stressed,

Blotted and blemished with precedent,

But it exists.

Its tie to my mind may be fragile,

It bends and buckles but

It does not break.

Albeit cautiously,

Dreams begin to step along brittle braid,

Perhaps one day they shall dance.

The End
