The Moon and I

The Moon and I
We share the night

My hollow follower
  Watches
    Watches always

Silver and oblivious
The stranger I know too well

Echoing my secrets
Back to me again
  And keeping her own

An estranged mother
From an incestuous birth

A misremembered face
Forgotten til it’s gone

She knows me in a way
I’ll never understand
  Try as I might

The End
