I am just a whisper

I am just a whisper, spoken in an ear.

I have no sensation; I am only felt.

In a jet-black ocean I am something drowned -

as regards that something, what is something lost?

When your heart is calling I am the response,

sighing in the airwaves, there but never traced.

When your mind is smiling I’m a sense of joy;

When you sigh serenely lavender’s my scent.

Love is overwhelming - I can’t hear my thoughts.

She spoilt my perception: only you exist.

This is what a kiss is, this is what I feel:

I am insubstantial, sinking in your soul.

The End
