The Journey Home

Recommend

I'm still looking for a home
In a world where I belong.
This body is not my own
I can hear my heart beating out.

Where can I settle?
Where can I live?
Who will give me a chance
To let me give all I can give?

I don't know where to go!
Who will let me belong?
Who will let me stay?
Who has been at my side all along?

Everyday I've had a chance to change!
But I've stayed the same in every way.
Who will accept me?
Who will let me complete the long journey home?

Author guidance for This poem

MoonBean I've been trying to find a place where I belong in this world, being thirteen and all. Typical chick flick, you know? What does it all mean, why am I here, what should I do next?

It's the motions, and I kind of want to break away.
