Window

Glass stained in bottle-green, purples, yellows, oranges, pinks,

Or plain and clear,

Or frosted to frost-white,

Face pressed against the cold, glass pane,

Leaving breathy, white markings in its wake,

Window, teasing prisoners,

With picture-tales of of the freedom of others,

Window, passageway to freedom, wilderness, the cold,

The darkness.

The End
