These Simply Don't Belong

He creeped and crawled and made it through,
Like a slithering, loathsome asp.
He took a breath and said aloud,
" It's just within my grasp!"

He lifted his lamp and looked around
And realized  something odd
"A desk, a bed, a table...
These simply don't belong!"

The Wizard looked around a bit,
And saw a little book.
He picked it up and then decided
That he will have a look:
