The Harpy and The Drudge

Please do

Procure a spot on propensity

For spotting the Harpy

With sharp black eyebrows

Like permanently drawn Sharpie slants.

Make sure to note and know

That she will show

An ambivalent profundity

For the emotional curve ball throw

A great white toothed smile

She'll glimpse and let go

Remaining arrow browed all the while--

I doubt you'll catch it or ever even know.

Beware of the drudge

With dish fulls of fruit

Who smells of fresh drupes,

Is piquant and wistful for loot--

He lacks much alacrity

Because abhorrent is trying and thinking is moot.

The End
