The Graces Of Addiction
It's about how addiction can not only destroy one person's life, but those around them
You’ve taken your turn, and the wheels roll ever onward
In the absence her hold takes the reins and we crash
We open our mouths to shout, but not words come out
We could do nothing more
It will break us all
It will state us all
We’re rising up by the grace of horror
But I wish we were never here at all
This runaround with words that seize to matter
Her words, her choice of drugs, count each calamity and disaster
We were only slaves to addiction, never the masters
They say nothing at all
It will break us all
It will state us all
We’re rising up by the grace of horror
But I wish we were never here at all
I want to break out
Her actions make me sick
I want to get out
I’m melting, sinking down quick
These angels are deaf and blind
Their words long ago lost meaning
Are you sure you want to carry on with her
When the truths of her destruction come calling
When the words are themselves revealing
It will break us all
It will state us all
We’re rising up by the grace of horror
But I wish we were never here at all
I want to break out
Her actions make me sick
I want to get out
I’m melting, sinking down quick
