The First To Fall

It's about someone who is critical of others to cover up the fact that they feel a sense of self-loathing and regret

We warp our experiences to those of whom we never know

As we draw parallel lines deep within the snow

Same depth and the same lack of perception

And the replica endures from it's inception

We're morphing our words to the whims of writers long obscure

Leeching off the past to protect the future

Imagination fades in and deeper out

The only way we can look is down

Lost behind and condemned to endure

Our messages generic, meanings obscured

I can never claim to be a better man

Because I was the first to fall

We distort our expression to mould and flow within the tide

Corroding and shattering what was true deep inside

A lack of breath and self-made deception

The urge to imagine morphs to one sided dimension

Lost behind and condemned to endure

Our messages generic, meanings obscured

I can never claim to be a better man

Because I was the first to fall

Everything you were meant to be

Broken and torn by the wind's of history

I will never pure, or free from this babe

Because I was the first to fall

The End
