A Break From Life

As she slips deeper into the darkness, she begins to remember...
Her old best friend (not really, heehee)
She had something like anorexia; she had gotten so slender...

The doctors said that it was a slow suicide
Starving herself for as long as she could
She didn't want to die right away, she did decide

Suddenly, our hero decided she didn't want to die
Was it too late? She felt the blackness closing in...
She was floating up higher, reaching the sky

She wasn't ready to leave the world
She had to stick around and finish her life
There was so much that she left unfurled

Would she wake up and open her eyes again?
She hoped she would; she just needed a break!
She felt like she'd open them again...but when?

The End
