The Beginning of the End

She's slipping, blood dripping,

It's happening so fast.

As dawn approaches,

she wonders how long this can last?

This is what she wanted,

but she can't help but think,

What could the future have had in store,

for this quiet girl next door?

She thinks of her future,

She thinks of her friends,

She thinks of her her life,

Coming to an abrupt end.

She closes her eyes,

She'll be gone in a while.

And as she drifts off,

She can't help but smile.

The End
