The day the world ended
Morning dawns, cold grey yesterdays
Like a blur everything passes
Like sand through an hourglass
The daylight slowly fades to black
And again, monotony, drudgery
Time just passes them all by
Waves of colours, smells, memories
Building lives, building dreams
Just to watch them shattered
Finding out what life’s really about
When you’re forced to choose
Forced to break or be broken
Survival of the fittest
But just because you survive
Doesn’t mean its ever ok
Not a state of mind
But a fallacy
Because of those words
That they told you
That you never wanted to hear
