The Darkness

wind sends chills down my spine
light of the winter moon offers no comfort
my breath getting heavy within the midnight air
the heat of steam rising from my breath
as i make my way slowly the shadows all around me
lingering in the darkness calling me
summoning for me to bid them ado
 running through the darkness
fighting the wind and cold
my scream cuts through the silence like a knife
that pierces the flesh
lying there in the snow
so cold the warmth of my blood filling the snow covered ground
the shortness of breath my tears falling
the pain of the last breath
the sorrowful and mornful cry of goodbye

The End
