Reality KillsMature

She lives in a made-up world,
where daring to dream is the key:
her world was travesty embodied,
so she left it-
abandoned it,buried it deep-
years later still recreating the perfected version
of the mirror image of the secrets she keeps
but the poison has started to seep,
spilling in between bed sheets
making rainbows bleed to black and white
photographs depicting the past;
two can only keep a secret if both of them are dead-
the coffins burned, urns filled with the ashes
a sarcophagus stashed in pyramids gold-
ghosts only reassure the murders told,
her walled fortress burning down to blackened ground
backdrop silhouettes dying in blood diamond crowns,
reality has killed our little girl.

The End
