The Dancer is back
You sit there and watch
as your ballet dancer comes back
and she twirls like she used to
Before her love was what you lacked
She dazzles your eyes
as she puts on her show
and she hypnotises you
more than you'll ever know
But soon her ribbons
become untied at her feet
and her soft gracious dancing
doesn't look quite as sweet
She stumbles along
as she begins to lose pace
you can see the sheer shock
of failing on her face
her hypnosis started withering
and it was clear to see
this dancer was not so lovely
as you wished she would be
so you close up the curtains
when she doesnt win your heart
who'dve thought it would be her
who left the stage torn apart
