The Damage Left You Undone

I know we all have to die sometime but not like that
to see your life fade away when it had only just begun
I saw you smiling before you disappeared
But you were already gone... and you were never coming back

As soon as the needle broke your skin
you became someone else

It was your cure that made your disease
so sick in spirit but you shied away from us
Once a great man, now just a shadow of who you were
You were stolen from us...

There will never be another like you
we say this every single time

The damage left you undone
You turned to dust and you were nothing more...

The End
