The Clock Thief

Ever since I met you

You have stolen time from me

Robbed me of precious hours

But I didn’t mind, it was time well spent.

I knew you took my alarm clock

It was absent from my bedside

My watch, from my wrist you did capture

For when it was curfew I was not aware

And for the life of me I cannot figure out

How you got the grandfather clock out my door

But you did, somehow, in your foolish manner.

I didn’t mind, but now I do

We used to talk on the phone for hours

Now you never pick up

We used to skip class together

Now only see your face

When you’re at his side

Time goes by slower without you.

Forever and always I will remember

How you stole a part of my life from me

One small second at a time.

The End
