The Calling of a Marine
When I am called to duty
Wherever wars may rage
Give me the strength to save a life
Whatever be their age
Help embrace a little child
Before it is too late
Or even save an older person
from the horror of war's fate
Enable me to be alert
And hear the weakest shout
To quickly and efficiently
Take the enemy out
I want to fulfill my calling
And to give the best in me
To guard my every neighbor
And protect their property
And if according to my fate
I have to lose my life
Please bless with a protecting hand
My Family, the all in my life
