The Bridge Of Life

Life is a long and difficult bridge that not everyone manages to cross completely

I was always told that life is like a bridge

sometimes, it's wider.

And sometimes it's so narrow a single raindrop could knock you to your death

"What you have to remember," they said,

"is it will always widen out again.

But what happens

when the pressure of each passing day

breaks your bridge

and you fall slowly and peacefully into the deep abyss

and your story becomes nothing more than a tattered paperback

buried in an old abandoned meadow of forgotten emotions.

The End
