Morning Mist

Morning mist,
Settles on the dusty skyline.
A single skylark,
Takes off and paints the sky.

The sun,
With streaking splendour,
Rises to crown the rooftops,
And bathe the land in gold.

Noises travel,
Hesitant at first,
Then calling out to each other,
Like birds in a city cage.

The day has begun.

The End
