Angels are born

They start out strong

But only time will tell,

If their wings will become,

Worn, and broken,

Made weak by the storm

Of expectation,

Of lies, of hurt.

Angels can fight,

But not if the bearer,

Pushes them back

And tears them apart.

Angels are strong,

But their wings can be ripped

With nothing but words

To shreds

That cannot be repaired.

Angels are inside everyone,

And they can be strong,

They can flourish

And thrive,

But once pushed back enough,

Their wings cannot,

Fly again.

The End
