The blue blanket of stars

Come close my dear, come sit and rest
Come lie your head upon my chest.
Do not be bound by chains and bars
Come sit beneath, The blue blanket of stars.

Though wolves may cry, into the night
And ravens swoop in surly flight,
Not one will touch us, for we all are,
Beneath the blue blanket of stars.

Remember, if all is lost, all hope to end
If there is nothing there left to defend,
If the door to hell is left ajar,
Look up to the blue blanket of stars.

For the blanket will always render there,
So if nothing else, just be aware,
You and I cannot be lost, no matter if we are near or far
From the blue blanket full of stars.

The End
