I stay in the sea, staring out towards the balcony.
Where I once lived, and finally died.
It was a low railing, easy to vault over.
Dawn comes and the light shines brightly on the beach, yet still I remain.
People walk past, I yearn for them to remember me. They do not, so I remain.
Tide sweeps in like a plague, it clears the beach, yet I remain.
Dusk is upon me, the wind resumes it's howling and I remain.
I realise that my stay here is eternal, and so I remain.
