That Little Boy

That little boy with the deep brown eyes

And the shaggy blond hair

Had the world in the palms of his hands

He had everything he had always wanted

Well, just about everything

He had so many dreams

And so many things he could accomplish

He had the nerve

He had the spirit

He had the guidance

He had everything he needed

To spread his wings

Take off

And soar

He didn't need anyone anymore

He set off on his own

Out into the big bad world

And he thought he could do it

Pull it off

Do everything by himself

But all he did was lie to himself

And everyone else

Mistakes were made

Lies were told

Out on his own

Afraid, lonesome, and cold

His choices were chosen

Hearts were broken

But it wasn't anyones fault but his

It was his life

His chance

To make a difference

But instead,

That little boy with the deep brown eyes

And the shaggy brown hair

Didn't really care

And we ended out like this...

The End
