Tears of the Slayer
No virgin to soothe a heart of stone
No sanctuary to grieve in alone
Cries from the past haunt me
Far, far from innocence
Tell me why I care
Ask me if the wound still stings
Those broken memories were our art
An iron stake piercing my scarred heart
Relieving me of the peace morning brings
Feel my pain
Feel my hate
Tears of the slayer drop
As I tore you from October skies
All my dreams and all my lies are dead
And I’m so tired too
Bring me home
The first step along a beaten road
Akin to the pendulum counting my time
Even Devils must cry, Even angels will die
Time to put to rest my sinfelt rhyme
One unlit candle
A tribute to me
A sheep slain by the shepherd
All I wanted I never could be
Feel my pain
Feel my hate
Tears of the slayer drop
As I tore you from October skies
All my dreams and all my lies are dead
And I’m so tired too
Bring me home
I raped your heart, slew your pride
Turned fear loose – Genocide
The Age of Wings is at an end
Go home, and leave me be
