Take for Granted

We take for granted

the clothes

that we wear,

The hope we have

in our hearts.

We take for granted

the world

we inherit,

Going to sleep

in a warm bed

every night.

If we're cold,

we turn up the heat,

If we're hot,

we turn on the

air conditioning.

Others have to live

Uncomfortably.

We take for granted,

churches and chapels,

freedom to love God.

We take for granted,

the safety we have

in our lives,

not going to bed

afraid of being killed, abducted.

We take for granted

the food that we eat,

the world that is ours.

We take for granted.

The End
