With my eyes ever-twitching
I lie in bed composedly
at the hour bewitching.
My dreary dreams consumed by
darkness in thought, head in sky.
Much alike life supposedly.

But in my world, I have changed
to an elephant called “Mouse”,
to an elephant deranged.
And said place is a sad place.
A vile place. The darkest space.
Where I feel I am a louse.

My eyelids separate, torn
I peer 'cross my hollow room,
wait for life to be reborn.
But, oh, it cannot. It stays
just the same. For my daze
matches my realm. I am gloom.

The End
