Surprise

I like the way certain notes feel in your hand-bones
delicate tendons starting and pulling
in the pads of skin and muscle that stretch between your thumb and palm,
resonating harp-strings in them with the tremor of nerves taken quite by surprise.
In the pluck and grind when you touch the casings,
it breaches that infinitesimal space like a spark.

The End
