ElzuWolfe - Atlantis

With my watery eyes
I watch the blue world unfurl
my fingers on the white keys and
air rises, crisp spheres beneath.
Sound penetrates my world;
a numb humdrum of angels.
My hands bear rings and
I guess I have forgotten what
the metal might mean.
I play piano beneath the waves;
long and slender bones
on those diamond teeth.
I dream of leaving now
I know that this city can’t be saved;
once, our sapphire citadel -
all leans in seaweed wind.

With my watery eyes
I watch and I recall
cacophonous symphonies;
a history of blues now
drowned in the same.
