Student Apartment
Confined spaces, only what you need,
I never used anything else,
*hiss* the sound of air conditioning,
Comfort, contemplation and calm emit their presence.
Sorrowful sarcastic reception,
Keys and card handed for my stay,
Stress on faces from a long day,
But I'm finally at my home.
Elevator glint,
Faulty button failing to light,
Stupid card doesn't respond through my wallet,
Ten seconds wasted, not like the ride up is short...
Beautiful building, new and modern,
Ambivalent feelings swelter inside,
A slight staleness in this place,
But inside a city I know has a soul.
