Something more

Atop a building I sit

Watching the lightning hit

Rain washing over me

Down on one knee I plea

Flood waters rising

Houses slowly sinking

Eyes closed thinking

Have I lived well?

Do I have more to tell?

Some regret

Just a silhouette

Dreams come and gone

Pushed around like a pawn

No time anymore

Soon washed ashore

Maybe I’ll end in ecstasy

Open my eyes and see

There’s something more

Please let the rain pour

The End
