One Night

One night.

Sometimes that's all it takes
To break through the blockade,
Become the electric spark
That kick starts my heart.

One night.

To dance without a care,
The numb feeling vanishes,
Emotions a new toy to play with,
As I learn how to feel again.

One night.

Is all it takes to wash away
A lifetime of insanity,
Hurt and Betrayal,
Replace broken parts with smiles and laughter.

One night.

Sometimes that's all it takes,
To fool me into letting my guard down
And allow myself to believe,
That I deserve something better.

One night.

And my defensive walls begin to crumble.

The End
