Firefly

On a quiet night
My white knight,
Came for me in a haze of light,
And darkness fell on the world.

Step by step will reoccur
A feeling of hatred for society

And mindless rhythmic vocalization with no actions...
These will be abandoned for
The wheels on an old 4x4, screaming
As it trundles down a dirt track.

A silenced child lying broken,
A life left unspoken,
A word on the lips spat out
In a silent shout.

Daytime destruction changed
To a peaceful night...
A worn out fight.

Nothing left to take or give
Nothing more for which to live
A grave dug only by myself.

But then a hand, a light, a warm embrace, and
"I've finally found your resting place."

Oh Firefly, firefly,
I've been so alone.
Light up the sky and
Lead the way home...

On a quiet night
My white knight,
Came for me in a haze of light.

The End
