Marble Eyes

Diverse shades, each representing a piece of life’s wisdom earned

Transitioning each milestone of her life, loves, friendships and work

She imagined herself a young girl again

Wanting so deeply to change the wind

When she met him, with his marble eyes

And spent their time making love and growing babies

Each a color of their own; staining segments of life’s window

And now wondrously shading her long white hair

With precious hues of memories.

The End
