Squad Savior

This is a short section of a soldier's effort to save his squad after they are captured by the enemy. As I am new to Protagonize I am still not sure if it is possible to have the regular layout (or at least what I mostly see) so I put the couplets on the same line.

I ran from street to street, hearing nothing but my feet.

I peer around a corner as it's dangerous to be a loner.

I hear their screams. I must save them by any means.

I take one quick gasp, wonder if it's my last.

I throw a nine-banger and grip my revovler.

I will be a savior, this will be my finest hour.

The End
