Revision 2

I'm not just a number,
Not defined by my cumber,
That once made me glummer
But now I'm just numb-er
To life's tap it's slap
To save me from the trap,
And now I'm just caught in my slumber–
Like Beauty or Snow White,
Can't wake-move-sit upright
And caught in my own fright
I'm drained of my old might,
But no prince to crave me
Means no one to save me
And ride off with me into the moonlight.
Through the painful erosions
Of preconceived notions
The grinding oceans
Have stripped my devotions.
There's no way to spin it,
No longer in it to win it,
So today, I'm just going through the motions.

The End
