Southern Girl
I'm a Southern girl to the core,
Though now I live far from that shore.
Kansas is now where I reside...
I can't forget, though I've tried.
Mississippi is in my heart...
That's the place I got my start.
I dream of beaches and sunshiny skies...
Of feeding the seagulls Cheetohs and fries!
I travel south every year
To see the family and be of good cheer.
I've learned to love my Kansas home
but I long for the feel of the soft sea foam...
