Sophia

I found refuge in my solitude
only the memory of faith left
Designed by the divine
taught to embrace death

Lessons I long to forget
but the scars from stones cast, alone last
Left cold in the shadow of deceit
lead by ill reprise
Hate justified by love
Truth delivered as lies

I sat gaurded as darkness became the savior
and men... the muse to the devil, if only in their behaviour
Dancing on the grave of grace
Prisoners to meaningless pride.
I saw reason become myth
Saw demons arise.

I watched the world pass away
in awe of it masquerade
Shrouded in the radiant beauty that once kept her alive
in disguise
the new face of the corpse hidden inside.

The End
